Dr. Rhonda Patrick on the science of sauna

Daniel Luzzi · Jun 21, 2024 · 1 min read · Updated Jun 27, 2024

Describing all the benefits that sauna users experience can be challenging. I often struggle to articulate everything I have learned from research, studies, and podcasts. When delving into a topic, I always seek advice from professionals and top experts in the field. When it comes to anything related to saunas, the go-to expert is Dr. Rhonda Patrick.

She has created an outstanding comprehensive research on the use of saunas, with a specific focus on the Kuopio Ischemic Heart Disease (KIHD) Study, an ongoing research involving 2,300 middle-aged men from Eastern Finland. The study's results show a wide range of benefits, including strong correlations to disease prevention, mental health, inflammation, mental focus, and attention, among others. The list of benefits is extensive and continuous.

Take a moment to go through her comprehensive report. After reading this article, I feel more confident discussing all the benefits of the sauna. Thank you, Dr. Rhonda Patrick!

If that was not enough information, here is a link to an 8 minute video on "How Sauna Use May Boost Longevity".

Thank you so much for introducing me to the sauna life. Since my first experience in your GA Sauna I was hooked, it changed my life approach. I now make sure I get in the sauna at least 3 times a week. It is so relaxing, my skin looks so healthy, and I feel great. Making the time to truly take care of myself has been life altering! Once again thank you so much for this blessing.
